Dip it
This hair dying technique makes colourful hair lose its adolescent/rebel/pubescent/punk connotations and turns it into something really elegant and beautiful.
When I see images like these I start wishing I hadn't hacked my hair off in an impulsive moment with a paper scissors a few weeks ago..oh, to have a long elegant colourful hippie mane of hair!

monday.
To live content with small means;
to seek elegance rather than luxury,
refinement rather than fashion;
to be worthy, not respectable,
and wealthy, not, rich;
to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart;
to study hard;
to think quietly,
act frankly,
talk gently,
await occasions,
hurry never; in a word,
to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious,
grow up through the common--
this is my symphony.

A penny for your thoughts.
Watch your thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions.
Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your habits, they become your character.
Watch your character, it becomes your destiny.

Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your habits, they become your character.
Watch your character, it becomes your destiny.
When one door closes another door opens.
My cupboard is exploding, and seeing as it is way too cold to sell my stuff I have decided to take drastic measure and I have banned myself from clothes shopping, at least till February is over maybe longer.
In order to make my come down from my addiction (that was insanely worsened by the January sales)
somewhat bearable I decided to get rid of a dear, old pretty awesome but broken friend.
And welcomed a new far less cool, but therefor functioning machine into my life.
I have already started some pretty fun projects, which i am already excited about sharing on here:)
I have been turning lots of old clothes into new clothes!

Ice ice baby:)
we have been having this mad Siberian weather for more than a week now, and it has transformed the Elbe. The Boats are now only able to travel as far as hamburg from the sea, on the other side of hamburg the entire river has frozen over. I have been going down to the Elbe every single day after work(exactly the same time as sunset at the moment)and instead of taking the S-bahn (metro) i have been travelling a few stops down the river by ferry. today the temperature in hamburg reached -15 and according to the weather forecast it should stay this cold for at least another week.
I need to invest in more wooly socks!!!

Guthrie on music...
"There’s a feeling in music and it carries you back down the road you have traveled and makes you travel it again –
Or it takes you back down the road somebody else has come and you can look out across the world from the hill they are standing on.
Sometimes when I hear music I think back over my days – and a feeling that is fifty-fifty joy and pain swells like clouds taking all kinds of shapes in my mind –
Or – music gives you a lift when you are recalling or thinking about a friend – and music helps you to go in your own reveries into the mind of the friend – because music makes you tender and sensitive – and this is why the feel to me is half of sadness and half of joy. If it is joy it is of such a treasured sort and of such fine make that the thought of its passing is near to pain – and if it is pain, it is seen so plain and known so true that you can see how pain has paid you a profit in its own strange way – and the joy of the sadness is like a raindrop falling in the sun – some say rain is dreary but it’s not – and some say clear skies are gay – but not always – it’s all a mood – millions of words swirling and whirling like grains of dust in a storm – but where the worst of the dust storms blow – the people pressed in closer got to be better friends.
And this is what music helps to do – live again the days you made good friends and dream again the tears you shed for joy and for sorrow in the nights of your meeting and parting."
Woody Guthrie.

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.
