I have been a big fat Joni Mitchell fan for years, discovered her through my best friends Ma who sometimes used to sing Joni songs while she cooked, her music brings me back to a time where the world was a naive happy and place. so imagine my joy when i discovered that a more recent big music love of mine covered 'a case of you' in a very very different way, but somehow managed to modernize an almost perfect original without destroying it. James Blake. What a man. his voice has just such amazing facets to it. I went to see him with friends of mine a couple of months back, and I swear my dear friend Rae was not far away from kidnapping and adopting him. he is the absolute most stereotypical well mannered, british somewhat awkward public school boy:) And although Miss Mitchells version will always be special and beautiful, it was somehow made to be covered by James Blake.
